Firefighters went to a city playing field at 3am on Monday morning to extinguish a burning car.
The crews went to playing fields on Western Road in Exwick following a call-out at 3:21am.
On arrival they found that a car had been severely damaged by fire in the public playing fields. They used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
